Plan 1 Proposed buildings are tall and close to shores residents
Building N12 is 120 feet tall and 146 feet away, creating a steep sharp viewshed occlusion of 39 degrees, sharper than any other development near residential in all of Redwood City
To visualize, imagine standing at the bottom of the steepest street in San Francisco and looking up at the top

Notes
Describing a building by number of floors is misleading as floor heights often vary
Regarding architect plans, "Elevation" is the term for top and side views
To find the height of a proposed structure, find the bottom floors height and add consecutive floors to it to calculate actual heights
MEP stands for mechanical enclosure, the tallest part of the building that houses elements like blowers and air conditioning
MEP's are not included in zoning height regulations. They are an additional 20 foot height added to what's allowed by zoning.
Planning documents are often large, difficult to navigate PDF files that won't open in a browser
An option is to download the files and review in pdf viewer of choice
They are made available by law, but except for select pictures are not intended for the general public
Renderings scale references (20 foot tall people!) and pictures are often misleading, see below
